Water Garden

In this Suffolk garden my scheme had to work with natural springs surfacing at the top of the site near the house. My solution was to design a series of ponds on different levels linked by stone terraces and brick steps. The water is chanelled from one pond to another underground and eventually into an existing lake at the bottom of the garden.

Box hedging around the main pond reflects its formality, while further away from the house the planting is more naturalistic, incorporating stream and woodland planting alongside previously established shrubs.
