Mill House Landscape
I was immediately excited by the potential of this extensive site centred on recently renovated mill buildings. It's not often that one project will include a landscape garden, a wildlife sanctuary and a formal walled garden. My design task was to balance these elements whilst creating a beautiful and sympathetic setting for the Grade II listed buildings.
To date the following elements have been designed and realised: remodelling of the main slope running down to a river; a new drive bordered by custom-made estate railings and a mixture of beech and native hedging; an avenue of semi-mature trees; a semi-formal walled garden; a low maintenance wild flower meadow; new walls and terraces; and exterior lighting.
